Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Functional Skills Tutor to support a learner in Halton with one-to-one tuition. The role centers on English and/or Maths, tailoring lessons to the learner's needs, and tracking progress with constructive feedback.

The position is part-time, ongoing, starting September 2026, with 5–15 hours per week. The tutor should be adaptable, supportive, and capable of creating engaging activities to foster progress.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills in English and/or Maths.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 tuition and adapt approaches to learners.
• DBS check via Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Right to Work in the UK and provide two professional references.
