Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced Functional Skills Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition across Warrington. You will work with learners of varying ages and abilities, delivering tailored English and Maths sessions that build confidence and core skills toward recognised qualifications.

The role offers flexible hours (5-15 hours per week) with an September 2026 start, and requires hold UK Right to Work, DBS Update Service, and references.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Relevant teaching or tutoring background.
• Learner-focused approach with clear communication.

Responsibilities

Experience, Training and Qualifications

The ideal tutor will have:

• Experience delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths
• Relevant teaching or tutoring experience
• A learner-focused approach
• Excellent communication skills

To be eligible, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
