Job summary

New College Swindon is seeking a Maths teacher to deliver engaging lessons and monitor student progress across relevant programmes and levels. You will plan, develop resources and maintain accurate records to support achievement.

The role requires a Maths degree, Level 5 teaching qualification (or in progress) and Level 2 English/Maths; ICT and interactive whiteboards experience are preferred. A commitment to equality and safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• A degree in Maths or related subject or equivalent working experience.
• A full Level 5 teaching qualification, or be currently working towards one.
• Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
• Level 2 ICT qualification, or willingness to undertake the required qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of Maths to support teaching at Level 2 and 3.
• Knowledge and understanding of coursework requirements and assessment.
• Good IT and presentation skills, including the ability to use interactive whiteboards.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a supportive team.
• A commitment to professional development, equality and safeguarding.
