Job summary

New College Swindon is seeking a passionate Maths teacher to deliver engaging lessons across programmes, plan and assess learning, and monitor student progress.

You will develop resources, maintain accurate registers and records, contribute to curriculum development, and uphold equality and safeguarding standards in a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Maths or related subject or equivalent experience.
• Full Level 5 teaching qualification or working towards one.
• Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
• Level 2 ICT qualification or willingness to undertake.
• In-depth knowledge of Maths to support Level 2/3 teaching.
• Knowledge of coursework requirements and assessment.
• Good IT and presentation skills including the use of interactive whiteboards.

What we're looking for

• A degree in Maths /related subject or equivalent working experience
• A full Level 5 teaching qualification, or be currently working towards one.
• Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
• Level 2 ICT qualification, or willingness to undertake the required qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of Maths to support teaching at Level 2 and 3.
• Knowledge and understanding of coursework requirements and assessment.
• Good IT and presentation skills, including the ability to use interactive whiteboards.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a supportive team.
• A commitment to professional development, equality and safeguarding.
