Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan College is seeking a Lecturer in Mathematics to join our team for a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role. The position offers a salary of £31,410 to £43,440 per annum.

You will teach Maths from Entry level up to GCSE, develop engaging lessons, and support students’ progress through feedback and exam preparation.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification (Certificate of Education, PGCE or equivalent).
• Specialist Level 4/5 Maths qualification (or related discipline).
• Minimum Level 2 English/Literacy qualification.
• Able to evidence successful experience of teaching Functional Skills maths and GCSE Maths.
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge and practice of effective and inclusive group teaching and learning strategies.
• Have a thorough knowledge of GCSE Maths specifications and/or Functional Skills standards.

Responsibilities

• As a Mathematics Lecturer you will provide engaging and effective instruction to a diverse range of students studying mathematics from Entry level up to Higher tier GCSE.
• Develop and deliver well-structured lessons that cater to various learning styles, employing a variety of teaching methodologies.
• Support students' academic progress by setting achievable goals, providing regular feedback, and assisting with revision and exam preparation.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:

As a Mathematics Lecturer you will provide engaging and effective instruction to a diverse range of students studying mathematics from Entry level up to Higher tier GCSE.
