Job summary

Novus is seeking a Functional Skills Curriculum Manager to lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of the Maths and English curriculum at HMP Liverpool. You will support the Functional Skills team, monitor learner progress and drive standards through QA processes.

Role is permanent, full-time (37 hours/week) with a start planned for 1 January 2027; DBS and prison vetting will be completed before start.

Qualifications

• . Teaching qualification — Cert Ed or PGCE.
• . Degree or equivalent (including life/career experience)
• . Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
• . Experience implementing continuous quality assurance
• . Track record of successful partnership working
• . Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• . Ability to motivate and enthuse teams
