Job summary

Novus, the prison education provider at HMP Five Wells in Wellingborough, is hiring a Functional Skills English & Maths Teacher for a permanent, full-time role (37 hours per week). The post sits within a dynamic, supportive environment committed to learner progression and inclusion.

You will deliver engaging lessons, meet quality targets, and work with a diverse student group in a regulated setting, with DBS checks as part of safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months.
• Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Demonstrate ability to create stimulating learning environments and report accurately.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Functional Skills English and Maths lessons.
