Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a WCA Functional Assessor (Nurse, Physio or OT) in Yeovil. The role combines homeworking with site-based work, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with a starting salary of £42,000–£43,000 plus a £1,000 bonus and potential earnings up to £44,000.

You will assess how health conditions affect work-related function, focusing on clinical reasoning and evidence-based reporting rather than hands-on care. Training is comprehensive and ongoing CPD support is provided.

Qualifications

• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• 12+ months' post-registration UK adult clinical experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Experience producing detailed clinical reports and evidence-based documentation.
• Confident IT skills and ability to work across digital systems.

Responsibilities

As a WCA Functional Assessor, your working day becomes less about treatment and hands-on care and more about assessment, clinical reasoning, communication and evidence-based reporting. You'll assess how physical and mental health conditions affect an individual's functional ability in relation to work. No treatment. No prescribing. No manual handling. No nights or weekends.
