Job summary

Serco Limited is hiring a Functional Assessor to conduct health assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions. You will speak with customers by phone, in person, or online, gather information, and produce clear reports to inform outcomes.

Applicants should have post-registration healthcare experience, active UK registration with PIN, strong communication, and good IT skills. DBS checks are required before starting, with a supportive, development-focused environment and hybrid working

Qualifications

  • One year of post registration experience as a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist.
  • Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or equivalent), with an active PIN and no restrictions.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to write concise, accurate reports.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to work efficiently under time pressures.

As a Functional Assessor in our Health Assessment Advisory Service team, you'll carry out meaningful work on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions to understand how a person's health condition affects their daily life. Through fair, comprehensive assessments, you'll help create a positive impact for millions of people.

This role gives Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN & RNLD), Physiotherapists, Paramedics, Occupational Therapists and Pharmacists the chance to use your clinical expertise in a new way. What you'll do as a Functional Assessor

You'll be entrusted to:
