Job summary

The College of Paramedics is seeking a Functional Assessor to join our Health Assessment Advisory Service team. You will conduct functional health assessments on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions, gathering accurate information to inform daily living impact and generate clear reports.

This hybrid, full- or part-time role offers a competitive salary (£40,000 - £47,000) with uplifts in the first year, plus a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to write concise, accurate reports.
• One year of post registration experience as a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist.
• Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or equivalent), with an active PIN and no restrictions.
• Good IT skills and the ability to work efficiently under time pressures.

• Speak with customers by phone, face to face or online.
• Carry out functional health assessments and gather accurate, detailed information.
• Consult with treating healthcare professionals where appropriate.

Vetting and checks

All our Functional Assessors must successfully complete the full pre employment security screening process, including an Enhanced DBS check, before starting in role.
