Job summary

PPS Property Solutions is seeking a Multi Skilled Decorator to join our expanding team across the East Midlands. You will work mainly in occupied domestic properties on insurance reinstatement projects, delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.

Ideal candidates will have comprehensive decorating skills, wallpaper hanging, surface preparation and finishes, with own van/tools, DBS, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in painting and decorating across domestic properties.
• Ability to wallpaper hang, including wide vinyl coverings.
• Experience with surface preparation, patch repairs and finishes.
• Hold relevant industry qualifications and own van/tools, plus DBS and full UK driving licence.

Multi Skilled Decorator

East Midlands Region | Insurance Reinstatement Works

PPS Property Solutions is a highly reputable, family-run business with over 50 years of experience delivering high-quality property repairs and insurance reinstatement works. Due to continued growth and the award of new contracts, we are looking to recruit an experienced Multi Skilled Decorator to join our expanding team across the East Midlands.

Working primarily within occupied domestic properties, you will play a key role in restoring homes following insurance claims, delivering exceptional workmanship and a first-class customer experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced decorator capable of carrying out a wide range of decorating and associated works to the highest standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

Applicants must be fully competent in:

• All aspects of painting and decorating
• Wallpaper hanging, including wide vinyl wallcoverings
• Specialist and decorative paint finishes
• Preparation and making good of surfaces
• Patch repairs to plaster, drywall and other substrates
• Stain blocking and water damage restoration works
• Basic electrical isolation and removal/reinstatement of sockets, switches and light fittings
• Working within occupied residential properties with minimal disruption to customers

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have your own van suitable for carrying tools and materials
• Possess your own decorating tools and equipment
• Have relevant industry experience and/or recognised qualifications
• Hold appropriate Public Liability Insurance
• Have an up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Be reliable, professional and customer-focused
• Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
