Job summary

Babcock International in Bristol is offering a 5-year Electro-Mechanical Engineering Degree Apprenticeship that lets you earn a degree while working on defence projects.

Starting with hands-on training and mentoring, the programme covers electrical and mechanical design, progress to Engineer roles, with a starting salary of £23,776 and hybrid working at Bristol sites.

Upon completion, opportunities for professional registration and progression within the business are available.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Mathematics, English and a Science, Technology or Engineering-related subject.
• A Levels: ABB, including Grade B in Mathematics and Grade B in another Science subject.
• IB: HL5 in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) and HL5 in another Science subject.
• BTEC Extended Diploma: DDM in a relevant subject including relevant engineering fields.
• T Level: Distinction in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced engineers on defence projects.
• Develop electrical and mechanical design and use of test equipment.
• Progress to roles such as Assistant Engineer or Engineer within engineering disciplines.
