Barrett Steel Limited is offering a funded 19‑month Business Administration Apprenticeship at its Reading site. You will be mentored by an established site team while training one day a week and working in core business activities the rest of the time.

The apprenticeship runs Monday to Friday, with a starting salary of £16,500. You will gain hands-on experience handling customer enquiries, processing orders, maintaining records, and supporting stock and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must be local to the Reading site and able to commute.

• A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route enquiries to the correct team.
• Process orders and update systems with accurate information.
• Support with paperwork and data entry for processing.
• Maintain documentation and help ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Provide customer service and assist with continuous improvement.
