South Wight Area Youth Partnership (SWAY) is seeking a full-time Youth Worker to serve young people aged 8-18 on the Isle of Wight. The role offers potential to become Lead for the right candidate and is based at The Hub in Chale Green with travel around the Island.

You will join a committed team, work with local churches, schools and community organisations, and support volunteers while upholding our Christian ethos. DBS checks and safeguarding are required.

Youth Worker - Full Time (37.5 hours per week) - Potential to be Lead for the right candidate
South Wight Area Youth Partnership (SWAY) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Youth Worker to join our growing youth ministry.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people aged 8-18. You'll join our youth work programme alongside our part-time Youth Worker and established volunteer team, building on strong partnerships with local churches, schools and community organisations.

We're looking for someone who:

Salary: £27,500-£29,000 (depending on experience, with a salary review after 12 months)

Location: The Hub, Chale Green, Isle of Wight (with travel across the Island)

Preferred Start date: 1st January 2027

Because this post involves leading Christian teaching, discipleship and worship, and promoting the Christian ethos of the organisation, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 that the postholder be a practising Christian.
