Job summary

Randstad Education in the United Kingdom is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for long-term placements across West Sussex and Surrey. This full-time role offers reliable weekday work in partner schools, Monday to Friday 8:30 AM–3:30 PM.

You will support classrooms, run small group interventions in literacy and numeracy, and provide 1:1 SEN support. DBS checks and transport access are important, with CPD growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Full Monday to Friday availability during standard school hours.
• Experience supporting children or young people in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work.
• Patient, proactive, and resilient approach to pupil support.
• Strong communication skills and foundational English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Right to work in the UK with reliable transport across West Sussex and Surrey.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time hours Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM alongside class teachers.
• Lead small group interventions in core literacy, phonics, and numeracy.
• Provide dedicated 1:1 learning support for pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, or speech delays).
• Help create an inclusive, safe learning environment throughout the school day.
• Support classroom preparation, learning displays, and break-time monitoring.
