Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work full time across Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) area. The role offers a competitive daily rate of £93 and involves 1:1 and small group support for pupils with diverse needs, assisting teachers and implementing individualised plans.

You'll help foster confidence and emotional wellbeing, adapt approaches for primary and secondary settings, and gain ongoing access to training and career opportunities within a supportive education

Qualifications

• Experience in education, childcare, youth work, care, or coaching is desirable but not essential.
• Access to own transport may be required as work may be across schools in the RCT area.
• EWC registration can be supported if needed.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on Update Service) can be obtained if not already held.

Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young people in education? We are working with a range of primary and secondary schools across the Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) area who are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams and make a positive impact in the classroom.

About the Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Help implement personalised support plans to meet individual pupil needs
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
• Promote positive behaviour and support students to engage fully in their learning
• Adapt your approach to meet the needs of pupils across both primary and secondary settings

Who We're Looking For:

• Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people in education
• Be calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Be flexible and adaptable, with the confidence to work across different school settings
• Have experience in education, childcare, youth work, care, coaching, or a similar role (desirable but not essential)
• Have access to their own transport, as work may be across schools throughout the RCT area

Requirements:

• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service)
• Two recent, relevant references covering the past two years
