Job summary

Brookhurst Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis until at least July 2027, with the possibility of extension and becoming permanent.

The role is TA2 with occasional 1:1 support for pupils and supervision at lunchtimes.

We value a caring, reliable approach and a willingness to learn; applicants should have an NVQ level 2 and be committed to safeguarding and a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience supporting primary pupils is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils as needed.
• Assist with lunchtime supervision and activities for 30 minutes.

Job description

At Brookhurst Primary School we are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and cooperative addition to our Teaching Assistant Team until at least July 2027, with the possibility of this being extended and made into a permanent position.

We are looking for a fixed term class based TA2 who may need to work 1:1 at times.

At lunchtime you would then join our team of lunchtime supervisors for half an hour, to assist in the supervision of the children within the dining hall or on the playground.
