Job summary

Supply Desk in Beaconsfield is seeking a Sport and PE Assistant to support teachers, plan and deliver engaging PE sessions, and foster an active, inclusive environment for pupils. This is a full‑time role commencing in October 2026 in a welcoming school.

You will provide one‑to‑one and small group support, promote sport, encourage wellbeing, and ensure safeguarding policies are followed during activities, while helping to develop students' physical, social and emotional growth.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for sport, physical education and pupil development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Ability to motivate students of different ages and abilities.
• Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding procedures.
• Current enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging PE lessons and activities.
• Assist with practical PE sessions across a range of sports to build skills and confidence.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students during PE lessons.
• Encourage participation in physical activity and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Promote teamwork, resilience, discipline and sportsmanship among pupils.
• Help with equipment preparation, organisation and safety.
• Support safeguarding policies and provide pastoral support as needed.
