Job summary

Supply Desk, in partnership with a supportive school in the Maidenhead area, is seeking a passionate PE Teacher to join the department and inspire pupils to enjoy sport, fitness, and healthy living.

You will teach PE across Key Stages 1 and 2, contribute to curriculum PE and extracurricular sport, and help build a strong sporting culture within the school. This is a full-time role commencing in September under MPS/UPS.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching PE in a Primary school setting (or strong placement experience).
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Energetic, passionate teaching style and good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across a range of sports and activities.
  • Inspire pupils to participate actively and develop their physical skills and confidence.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development.
  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs.
  • Contribute to extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and school sporting events.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment in line with health and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department and wider school.

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded school in the Maidenhead area to appoint an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to join a dynamic department and inspire students to develop a lifelong love of sport, fitness, and healthy living.

The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and personal development, delivering high‑quality lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2.

You will contribute to both curriculum PE and extracurricular sport, helping to build a strong sporting culture within the school.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Desirable
  • Experience teaching Primary PE
  • Ability to contribute to a range of extracurricular sports
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Knowledge of assessment frameworks within PE
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
