Job summary

Supply Desk in Beaconsfield is seeking a Sport and PE Assistant to support teachers, plan and deliver engaging PE sessions, and foster an active, inclusive environment for pupils. This is a full‑time role commencing in October 2026 in a welcoming school.

You will provide one‑to‑one and small group support, promote sport, encourage wellbeing, and ensure safeguarding policies are followed during activities, while helping to develop students' physical, social and emotional growth.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for sport, physical education and pupil development.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging PE lessons and activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons and sporting activities.


• Assist with practical PE sessions across a range of sports and activities, supporting students to develop their skills and confidence.


• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who may require additional encouragement or assistance during PE lessons.


• Encourage students to participate positively in physical activity and develop a healthy and active lifestyle.


• Support students across a range of abilities, adapting activities and encouragement where appropriate.


• Help promote teamwork, communication, resilience, discipline, and good sportsmanship among students.


• Assist with the preparation, organisation, and safe use of PE equipment and resources.


• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment during PE lessons and sporting activities.
  Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and positive attitudes towards physical activity.


• Provide appropriate pastoral and emotional support to students, helping to promote their wellbeing and engagement.


• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
