Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant in Fishponds, Bristol to support pupils with complex and additional needs in a specialist setting. The role focuses on 1:1 and small group support, working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider support team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND or care-based roles.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willingness to be hands-on throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils aged 5–19.
• Support pupils with Autism, SEMH and communication needs.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines when required.
• Support behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Use structured routines, visual supports and sensory strategies.
