Remedy Education is seeking an experienced SEN English Teacher for a secondary SEN school in Epping. This full-time role runs 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, with start after October Half Term.

You will deliver engaging English lessons tailored to pupils aged 11–18 with complex needs and SEMH, working within a supportive multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate has QTS, a PGCE or equivalent, and a proven SEN background.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with SEN experience in secondary setting.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience teaching English to pupils aged 11–18 in SEN settings.

• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, comfortable and supportive learning environment.

• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.

Role Overview

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.

• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.

• Create a safe, structured, comfortable and supportive learning environment.

Candidates Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• PGCE or Equivalent training

• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)

• Strong classroom management

• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
