Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Recovery Worker for Crewe on a 3-month, full-time contract. The role pays £22.00 per hour and runs Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, offering a structured daytime schedule.

You will support service users from referral through treatment and recovery journeys, conduct assessments, risk reviews, and recovery planning, and deliver harm reduction and psychosocial sessions. Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or related fields;

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or related field.
• Desirable: Motivational interviewing, safeguarding, or substance misuse training.
• Experience supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental health challenges, homelessness, or social exclusion.
• Experience managing a caseload within a health or community setting.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from referral and assessment through their treatment and recovery journey.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, recovery planning, and regular reviews to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
• Deliver harm reduction interventions to reduce drug and alcohol-related risks and improve health outcomes.
• Facilitate structured group sessions, recovery programmes, and psychosocial interventions to support and guide service users on their path to recovery.
