Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Recovery Worker in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, on a 3-month contract with extension potential. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and 37.5 hours per week, ideal for gaining varied experience across substance misuse settings.

You will deliver structured key-working, assessments, and harm reduction guidance, collaborating with healthcare and social care partners to support service users on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience in substance misuse or recovery support is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users with structured key-working sessions.
• Complete assessments, risk assessments, care and recovery plans per organisational policies.
• Provide harm reduction, overdose prevention and safer use advice.
• Support access to prescribing services, detox pathways and wider treatment programmes.
• Collaborate with healthcare, social care, housing, probation and third sector partners.
