Job summary

Kamsons Pharmacy in Littlehampton is seeking a friendly Healthcare Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis. The role involves assisting customers with medicines, collecting prescriptions and providing general health advice in a busy pharmacy. Training will be provided, including the Healthcare Assistant course.

The position runs Monday to Friday 09:00–17:30 with 40 hours per week, plus one in four Saturdays 9:00–14:00. Commuting to Littlehampton is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to assess customer needs and provide advice.
• Friendly, caring and professional service in a busy pharmacy environment.
• Willing to train the right candidate and complete Healthcare Assistant course.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with medicines, advice and prescription collection.
• Follow till processes including sales of OTC items and cashing up.
• Receive and hand out prescriptions under supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Order stock to meet demand while minimising losses.
• Maintain tidy displays and complete housekeeping duties.
• Participate in additional services (e.g., blood pressure checks) with training.
