Marchant Recruitment is seeking a compassionate School Nurse for a full-time role in a Chelmsford school. You will provide day-to-day medical support, administer medications, and help maintain a safe, healthy environment for pupils.

Ideal candidates will hold an NMC registration and a nursing degree, with experience in paediatrics or a similar clinical setting. You will collaborate with staff, parents and external health professionals to support pupil wellbeing.

Competenze

• Recognised nursing qualification with active NMC registration.
• Experience in nursing, paediatrics or similar clinical setting.
• Experience providing first aid and handling medical concerns.
• Knowledge of common childhood illnesses and ongoing conditions.
• Excellent communication with pupils, parents and staff.
• Strong organisational skills and accurate medical record keeping.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in emergencies.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and safe medication management.

• Provide day-to-day healthcare support to pupils during the school day.
• Respond to medical concerns and promote health and wellbeing.
• Administer prescribed medication per school policy and parental consent.
• Assist pupils with medical conditions and ongoing healthcare needs.
• Maintain confidential medical records and healthcare documentation.
• Develop and review individual healthcare plans with parents and staff.
