Cover People are recruiting a Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Bury, Greater Manchester, for a January 2027 start. This role is suitable for an experienced Maths Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a full-time position.

You will deliver engaging Maths lessons, develop pupils' numerical skills and problem-solving, and contribute to a positive and ambitious learning environment. The school offers support, progression opportunities, and a competitive salary on the M1–M6

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
• Ability to differentiate lessons for varying abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across the secondary age range.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Support pupils in developing mathematical knowledge and problem-solving.
• Monitor and track pupil progress effectively.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learner needs.
• Prepare pupils for assessments and examinations where appropriate.
• Provide constructive feedback to support progress.
• Encourage pupil participation and confidence in Maths.
• Contribute to the Maths department and school community.
• Support learners' academic and personal development.
