Job summary

Cover People are recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Bury, Greater Manchester, starting in January 2027. QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification is required, with experience teaching Maths at secondary level.

You will deliver high-quality Maths lessons across the secondary age range, differentiate for diverse learners, monitor pupil progress, manage class behaviour and provide constructive feedback to support progress.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across the secondary age range.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learner needs.
• Monitor and track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Prepare pupils for assessments and examinations where appropriate.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student attainment.
