Job summary
Barnet Lane Clinic in Borehamwood is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep the service, buildings and equipment fit for purpose and to support a safe environment for vulnerable service users.
You will work with an established team, undertake a range of maintenance tasks, liaise with contractors, and participate in a one-week on-call rota. A full UK driving license is required, and the role offers comprehensive training and development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Full UK driving license is a mandatory requirement.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with ensuring service, buildings, facilities and equipment are maintained.
- Utilise DIY skills to ensure safety of service users.
- Assist in regular checks and maintenance.
- Assist in repair and maintenance of all buildings.
- Coordinate and support contractors on site and complete paperwork and tool checks.
- Liaise with a manager reporting faults and defects.
- Participate in a 1 week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
