Join our team as a Full-Time Line Cook at Lutheran Community at Telford! Are you a culinary enthusiast ready to elevate your career while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors?

Full Time: 11AM-7PM and 10AM-6PM (every other weekend and every other holiday commitment)

Position Summary: As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing hot and cold food items, following recipes and production sheets, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served. Your role is essential in achieving customer satisfaction with the food you prepare.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and follow recipes and production sheets.
  • Adjust recipes as needed and ensure correct portion sizes are served.
  • Utilize wholesome ingredients and maintain food storage areas properly.
  • Follow safety precautions when using and cleaning equipment.
  • Adhere to food safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean work station throughout the day.
  • Deliver and serve food to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor food and refrigeration temperatures for quality assurance.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction with your culinary creations.

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of a culinary arts program through a vo-tech school. An Associate's Degree from a culinary school is preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years of food preparation and cooking experience in a CCRC or long-term care industry is preferred.
