Job summary

Supply Desk is supporting a welcoming school in West Drayton to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils with additional needs, working 1:1 or in small groups to deliver targeted interventions and improve learning and wellbeing. This role suits those with SEN background, ASD/ADHD/SEMH understanding and a commitment to inclusive education.

ASAP start on a full-time basis, with a competitive daily rate. DBS on Update Service preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with SEN in school, care, or support settings.
• Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach with good communication.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support planned interventions.
• DBS check on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Deliver tailored interventions and learning activities under teacher guidance.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Assist in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
• Implement IEPs and behaviour strategies.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Support personal care needs where required.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
