Job summary

Supply Desk, in partnership with a Princes Risborough school, is seeking a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN and to contribute to their learning and wellbeing.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, deliver targeted interventions under teacher guidance, and help implement IEPs and behaviour strategies in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Full-time position with DBS required; commitment to professional development and collaborative teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EYFS TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with SEN.
• Experience in a school, care, or support setting.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.

Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Princes Risborough to recruit a dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with additional needs while playing a key role in their academic and personal development.

This position is well-suited to experienced TAs or individuals with a Level 3 qualification and a strong background in SEN, care, or support work.

As a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. You will take a proactive role in delivering targeted interventions and supporting both learning and wellbeing in a structured, nurturing environment.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Deliver tailored interventions and learning activities under teacher guidance
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Assist in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
• Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Support personal care needs where required
• Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

• Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, or support setting)
• Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, and/or SEMH needs
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage behaviour in a calm, professional manner
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full-time availability in the Hayes area

• Experience within a school-based SEN setting
• Training in Team Teach or behaviour management
• Personal care experience
