Job summary

Supply Desk, on behalf of Hayes Specialist / Primary School, is seeking a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant for a September start. You will support pupils with SEN, delivering targeted interventions within a nurturing environment.

This full-time role requires a Level 3 TA qualification and experience with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and care staff to promote learning, wellbeing, and independence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EYFS TA qualification confirmed.
• Experience supporting children with SEN in school, care, or support settings.
• Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour in a calm, professional manner.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Deliver tailored interventions and learning activities under teacher guidance.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Assist in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
• Implement IEPs and behaviour strategies.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Support personal care needs where required.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.

Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Hayes to recruit a dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with additional needs while playing a key role in their academic and personal development.

This position is well-suited to experienced TAs or individuals with a Level 3 qualification and a strong background in SEN, care, or support work.

The Role

As a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. You will take a proactive role in delivering targeted interventions and supporting both learning and wellbeing in a structured, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage behaviour in a calm, professional manner
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

• Experience within a school-based SEN setting
• Training in Team Teach or behaviour management
• Personal care experience
