Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor for a Birmingham primary school starting September 2026. The role focuses on providing 1:1 and small group support, building relationships with pupils, and supporting social, emotional, and academic progress.

You will work closely with teachers and the pastoral team to motivate learners, promote positive attitudes to learning, and help pupils engage with school life. DBS on Update Service preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, care, youth work, or mentoring setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils.
