Job summary

Premier Education is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a vibrant primary school in Wigan from September 2026. This full-time, ongoing role offers a supportive team environment and opportunities to contribute to pupil success.

The ideal candidate will hold an HLTA qualification or QTS with recent primary school experience, capable of delivering planned lessons, leading groups, and promoting inclusive learning while working closely with staff and leadership.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or QTS, or equivalent primary school experience.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom communication skills.
• Proactive and adaptable with a focus on pupil development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom support across the primary age range.
• Deliver planned lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher.
• Lead small group and whole-class activities when required.
• Support pupils' academic progress, wellbeing and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership to achieve positive learning outcomes.
