Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting for a permanent, full-time classroom support role in Bradford starting this September. The successful candidate will supervise pre-prepared lessons across subjects, focusing on classroom management, student safety, and positive engagement.

Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting young people in educational or mentorship settings.
• A valid Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply) registered on the Update Service.
• Self-motivated approach to identifying classroom needs and stepping in without constant supervision.
• Must have legal entitlement to work full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a focused, orderly learning environment and enforce the school's behaviour policy.
• Supervise pre-set work left by the absent teacher and ensure tasks are understood.
• Support and engage students to stay motivated and on task throughout the period.
• Accurately record attendance at the start of each lesson in the school's system.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety protocols to ensure a safe learning space.
• Provide handover notes detailing student progress for the returning teacher.
• Move between different subjects and year groups as required.
• Distribute and manage classroom resources and equipment fairly.
