Job summary

Randstad Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cover Supervisor to lead classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher. You will manage behaviour, keep pupils on task, and maintain a safe, productive learning environment across years 7–11.

This is a full-time, long-term role starting this September on a temporary-to-permanent track with opportunities for progression in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with 11–16-year-olds.
• Enhanced DBS clearance registered on the Update Service.
• Strong, professional references covering the last two years.
• Eligibility to work full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across years 7–11 in the absence of the timetabled teacher.
• Deliver and explain pre-prepared lesson plans and objectives.
• Maintain high behaviour expectations and follow the school policy.
• Assist students with queries and guide them through tasks to ensure productivity.
• Register attendance and provide feedback to the returning teacher.
