Unknown is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help shape architecture, deliver customer-facing products and drive modern engineering practices. You will influence technical direction, product delivery and platform modernisation while collaborating closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams.

The role focuses on building scalable systems, APIs and front-end experiences, with a strong emphasis on reliability, testing and mentoring.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of delivering production software.
• Frontend frameworks: React, Vue.js or similar.
• Backend development with C#/.NET or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience deploying apps in AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong testing mindset and mentoring ability.

We're working with an established technology organisation that's investing heavily in the evolution of its platform and engineering capabilities. As part of this transformation, they're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help shape architecture, deliver customer-facing products, and drive modern engineering practices.

What you'll be doing

• Building and delivering features across the full technology stack
• Designing scalable APIs, backend services, and user-facing applications
• Working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to bring ideas to life
• Taking ownership of system reliability, observability, and production support
• Leading technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural decisions
• Mentoring engineers and supporting technical growth across the team
• Contributing to platform modernisation and the migration of legacy systems
• Using modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve quality

What we're looking for

• 6+ years' experience building and delivering production software
• Strong experience with React, Vue.js, or similar frontend frameworks
• Solid backend development capabilities with C#/.NET preferred (Java, Kotlin, Go or similar also considered)
• Strong understanding of system design, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL
• Experience building and deploying applications within AWS environments
• CI/CD and modern software delivery experience
• Strong testing mindset and experience with automated testing
• Experience mentoring developers and influencing technical decisions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to have

• Experience with platform modernisation or migration programmes
• Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Postman, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of accessibility, performance, and responsive design principles
• Experience incorporating AI-assisted tooling into engineering workflows
