Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a senior full stack engineer to lead technical delivery across a high-performing development squad in a hybrid UK role spanning the Midlands and South. You will help shape solution design, system architecture and domain modelling, and deliver production-ready code across the full stack.

You will work with a modern stack (Node.js, Vue.js, Redis, SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS) and contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Strong full stack development experience (10+ years).
• Background in system design and scalable architectures.
• Experience with large production SaaS platforms.
• Experience in mature CI/CD and deployment environments.
• A commercial mindset when designing software, with stakeholder collaboration.
• Interest in using AI to accelerate development, and focus on performance and security.

The Role

• Lead technical delivery across a high-performing development squad (10+)

• Break down requirements into deliverable epics and user stories alongside product and initiative managers
• Develop and deliver production-ready code across the full stack
• Ensure high standards of quality, maintainability, performance and security
• Support and improve live systems once deployed
• Influence technical direction, tooling and best practice across the wider engineering function

Tech Environment

You'll work with a modern stack including:

• Node.js microservices
• Vue.js
• Redis, SQL Server & Snowflake
• AWS cloud infrastructure
• CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices

About You

• Strong full stack development experience (ideally 10+ years)
• Solid background in system design and scalable architectures
• Experience building large, production SaaS platforms
• Experience working in mature CI/CD and continuous deployment environments
• A commercial mindset when designing and delivering software
• Excellent collaboration skills and confidence working with stakeholders
• Interest in using AI to accelerate and improve software development
• A passion for performance, security and engineering best practice
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience
