Job summary

Motion Applied is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to develop next-generation digital products and AI-powered workflows. You will deliver web applications, AI-enabled interfaces, copilot experiences, and reusable frameworks that span frontend, backend, data and AI technologies.

You will design scalable, high-performance solutions, own features end-to-end, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate user needs into effective software living across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in Python, C#, .NET or other OO languages.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD practices.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
• Experience building, testing, deploying and monitoring production software.
• Knowledge of performance analysis, profiling and optimisation techniques.
• Experience with package management and build automation tools.
• Experience developing data-driven applications and distributed systems.
• Experience with stream processing technologies such as Apache Kafka.
• Experience deploying and operating containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Frontend development experience using React, Angular, or similar modern frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.

Role Overview

The Full Stack Software Engineer will develop next-generation digital products and user experiences, combining modern web technologies with AI-powered workflows.

This role will be responsible for delivering web applications, AI-enabled user interfaces, copilot experiences, and reusable application frameworks that support the organisation's software portfolio.

The successful candidate will work across frontend, backend, data, and AI technologies to create intuitive, scalable, and high-performance solutions for customers and internal users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build modern web applications and intuitive, high-performance user experiences.

• Create reusable frontend components, libraries, and application frameworks.

• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate technical approaches and user experience designs.

• Own features throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept and design through to deployment and support.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand user needs and deliver effective solutions.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical design discussions, and code reviews.
