Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking talented Full Stack Software Engineers with 5+ years of professional experience to build modern, scalable apps using React and Python in a cloud-first environment.

You will design APIs (REST/GraphQL), work with PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to architecture while mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend development with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL, database modelling and query optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django), REST, and GraphQL.
• Design and optimise database schemas, queries, and data models using PostgreSQL.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services, including Lambda, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and RDS.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and support CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve development efficiency while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.
