Job summary

Brio Digital are recruiting a Full Stack Software Engineer for a consultancy project in the UK. You will design, build, test and operate scalable applications across the full development lifecycle, focusing on React frontend and Python backend within cloud-native AWS architectures.

The role requires hands-on experience with Module Federation, Terraform for IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and Git/GitHub. Expect on-site activity in Leeds 1x per month and a day rate of £500 Inside IR35, valid until March

Qualifications

• Experience building React-based frontend applications with strong UI and UX focus.
• Proven Python backend development experience in cloud-native environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, DynamoDB, S3).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using Git/GitHub.
• Familiarity with automated testing and modern software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain React-based Micro Frontend applications using Module Federation.
• Design, develop and maintain Python backend services.
• Build and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, DynamoDB, S3).
• Develop infrastructure and deployments using Terraform.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment processes.
• Implement automated testing and contribute to code quality and security practices.
• Collaborate with product, architecture and delivery teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Monitor health, troubleshoot incidents and drive continuous improvement.

Full Stack Engineer - Python, AWS, React

£500/day | Inside IR35 | Until March 2027 | 1x/Month in Leeds

ROLE OVERVIEW

Brio Digital are supporting a consultancy who are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong React and Python skills and a solid understanding of cloud-native architectures. You'll design, build, test and operate scalable applications, contributing across the full development lifecycle from solution design through to deployment, monitoring and operational support, alongside the AWS infrastructure and CI/CD platforms that support them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and maintain React-based Micro Frontend applications using Module Federation
• Design, develop and maintain Python backend services
• Build and operate cloud-native solutions using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, DynamoDB, S3 and CloudWatch
• Develop infrastructure and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment processes
• Implement automated unit and integration testing and contribute to code quality and security practices
• Collaborate with product, architecture and delivery teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Monitor application and platform health, troubleshoot incidents and drive continuous improvement

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Strong hands-on experience with React
• Hands-on experience developing Micro Frontend applications, with practical experience of Module Federation
• Strong hands-on experience with Python
• Practical experience of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture, particularly Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, DynamoDB and S3
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using Git/GitHub
• Experience with automated testing and modern software engineering practices

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Familiarity with Micro Frontend and Single Page Application design patterns, best practices and performance optimisation
