Job summary

Talent in Manchester is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to build user-facing features across React/TypeScript frontend and Django/Python backend for our Tech Client. You will work with product managers and designers to ship features from design through release, contribute to core platform infrastructure, and help scale AI-enabled systems.

The role requires 3+ years of production software experience, end-to-end ownership, strong collaboration skills, solid CS fundamentals, and a pragmatic

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
• Experience with React/TypeScript and Django/Python.
• End-to-End ownership of features from design to deployment.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical teams.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design a plus.
• Experience leveraging AI coding assistants in engineering workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship platform-wide features with emphasis on reliability and performance.
• Translate product insights and customer feedback into scalable features.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, Content, Sales and Customer Success to ship end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to architecture of new services and scalable platform capabilities.
• Triage, diagnose, and resolve issues across the stack with root-cause analysis.

About the Role

We are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and ship high impact, user-facing features across React frontend and Python backend for our Tech Client

In this role, you will work closely with product managers and designers to take features from technical design through release spanning API design, implementation, testing, and monitoring. You will also contribute to core platform infrastructure and cutting edge AI systems.

What You Will Do

• Core Systems & Features: Build and ship platform wide features that deliver direct value to users, maintaining a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Product Driven Development: Translate product discovery insights and customer feedback into scalable platform features that solve real world problems
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Content, Sales, and Customer Success to understand user needs and ship end-to-end solutions
• Architecture & Scalability: Contribute to the design and architecture of new services, platform capabilities, and robust systems built to scale across enterprise customers
• Maintenance & Optimisation: Triage, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across the stack, focusing on root-cause analysis and long term performance

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software, ideally usingReact/TypeScriptand Django/Python
• End-to-End Ownership: Proven track record of shipping reliable, robust applications from technical design through deployment
• Strong Communication: Demonstrated ability to collaborate seamlessly with both technical peers and non-technical teams (Content, Sales, Customer Success)
• Engineering Fundamentals: Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design would be a plus
• AI tools: Good judgment and practical experience leveraging AI coding assistants effectively within your engineering workflow
