Job summary

CL Technical Services Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking an Application Architect to oversee the design and development of responsive mobile applications and frontend interfaces.

You will lead UI/UX strategy, define guidelines, and ensure performance across devices while coordinating with BIM/CDE data integrations and external contractors throughout the software life cycle. Experience with GIS/BIM standards and Linux environments is welcome.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT/CS or related discipline.
• 4+ years IT experience with at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Proven full-stack JS with NodeJS, TS and ReactJS.
• Experience with database design (SQL/NoSQL) and REST API design.
• Linux/shell scripting or server setup experience.

Responsibilities

• Automated Testing Strategy – Formulate and govern component‑based testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium).

• UI/UX Leadership – Define design guidelines and lead strategy for intuitive, accessible, and high‑performance mobile‑first interfaces.

• Performance Monitoring – Evaluate frontend performance metrics and ensure mobile compatibility across diverse devices.

• System Integration – Supervise enhancement and integration of BIM‑AM Portal, AIMP, and CDE with internal/external systems.

• Feasibility & Analysis – Conduct feasibility studies, system analysis, and integration of data from CDE, BMS, BIM, and IoT sensors.

• Development Lifecycle – Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors throughout the software development life cycle.

• Quality Assurance – Manage QA pipelines to ensure robust automated test coverage.

Requirement Details

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (Hong Kong or equivalent overseas qualification).

• Minimum 4 years’ post‑qualification IT experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role.

• Proven expertise in full‑stack development using JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, and ReactJS.

• Strong architectural design knowledge for relational and non‑relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

• Solid API design and backend integration experience.

• Extensive experience in UI/UX strategy and responsive design standards.

• Hands‑on experience across the full system development lifecycle.

• Preferred: Experience with GIS, CDE, DMS, BIM standards, BIM authoring tools, and ERP integration.

• Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, and server setup.
