Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, Bristol, offers an industry placement for undergraduates to design and conduct tests on fuel and landing gear avionics test benches and support flight test analysis activities.

Joining the Fuel Systems Test Analysis team within the Flight and Integration Test Centre, you will collaborate across Europe and with engineering groups to deliver testing, analysis and data-driven feedback. The role develops problem-solving, data analytics, and programming skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student for whole duration of placement
• Data analysis and report writing skills
• Programming knowledge (e.g. C, Python, TCL, Matlab, Google Apps Script) beneficial
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
• Negotiation level English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Lab Testing: define & validate lab test benches; test landing gear functionality; perform lab test result analyses.
• Flight Test Analysis: define requirements, instrument flight tests, monitor flights and prepare analysis and certification documentation.
• Data Analytics: apply data science techniques to cross-correlate design, test rigs and flight data; develop analytics tools.
