Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Customer Water Quality Officer to test water samples for quality while visiting customer locations and sites across a wide geographic area. You will work as part of a busy team, ensuring records and equipment meet industry standards.

Hours are 38 per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, with potential weekend work after training. Assignment duration: 26 weeks. You will be employed via Pertemps and assigned to Thames Water.

Qualifications

• A clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience in a customer-facing role with driving.
• Confident to conduct unplanned visits to homes and businesses.
• Strong journey planning to cover a wide area efficiently.
• Organised, independent, and detail-oriented.
• Good IT skills and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Test water samples and maintain sampling records.
• Support investigations into supply issues and customer complaints.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to industry standards.
