Job summary

Thames Water in Walton-on-Thames is seeking a Customer Water Quality Officer to visit customer properties, treatment works and reservoirs across a wide area. You will test drinking water samples, maintain records and keep equipment to industry standards.

Working full time on an hourly rate of £14.80, you will support investigations into supply problems and customer complaints, carry out field visits, plan routes efficiently and contribute to a team focused on delivering safe, high-quality water

Qualifications

• A clean, manual UK driving licence.
• Experience in a role with driving and direct customer interaction.
• Confidence to carry out visits to residential and commercial properties.
• Good journey planning skills to work efficiently.
• Organised and able to work independently while staying connected with the team.
• Interest in the water industry and willingness to learn.
• Good computer skills and everyday IT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Test water samples and maintain sampling records and equipment to industry standards.
• Assist investigations into supply problems and customer complaints and help resolve issues.
• Travel between customer locations and sites across a wide area as part of a busy team.
