Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Officer to join our dedicated team at a busy client site in Glasgow. You will protect people, property and assets while delivering a professional, welcoming service.

The role requires SIA licence, Right to Work in the UK, and vigilance to follow health and safety policies. You will monitor security systems, patrol the site, and manage access points.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass BS7858 vetting.
• Valid SIA Licence.
• Previous experience in a security role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience working in busy/public-facing environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of buildings, personnel and visitors.
• Act as a first point of contact, providing a professional, friendly and helpful service.
• Monitor fire, security and building management systems, responding appropriately to incidents.
• Follow Health & Safety policies and report hazards, damage or defects.
• Control access points, barriers, and support traffic management across the site.
• Carry out regular patrols and ensure security procedures are consistently followed.
