Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd are partnering with a South West council to recruit an experienced Interim Private Sector Housing Officer to lead frontline housing standards. You will investigate complaints, perform HHSRS inspections and enforce housing legislation to safeguard residents in safe, healthy homes.

Qualifications

Experience in Private Sector Housing and Environmental Health.
Knowledge of HHSRS and housing legislation.
Experience inspecting for disrepair and licensing properties.
Strong report writing and Housing Act 2004 enforcement skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with tenants, landlords and partners.

Responsibilities

Investigate housing complaints and carry out HHSRS inspections.
Enforce housing legislation through informal and formal action.
Inspect private rented properties for compliance with housing standards.
Advise tenants, landlords and stakeholders.
Prepare enforcement notices and maintain accurate case records.
Support HMO licensing and regulatory compliance.
Work with partners to improve housing conditions and protect residents.
