Our client, a local authority based in Lancashire, is seeking a fully competent Private Sector Housing Officer to join their team on a long-term contract running until the end of March. The successful candidate will undertake a full range of housing enforcement duties, including HHSRS inspections, HMO inspections, and investigating nuisance complaints. You will need proven knowledge and experience of taking legal action, including the service of legal notices. Experience with empty properties, caravan site licensing, and tenancy rights would be highly desirable, though not essential.
To be considered for this role, you must hold HHSRS certification and have a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience within private sector housing enforcement.
Full-time (36 hours per week) is the preference, though part-time applicants will also be considered. The role offers a hybrid working pattern with 50% of time spent out on district and 50% working from home, and rates are negotiable and can be discussed with us.
